Rainwater harvesting (RWH) is an easy way in which rainwater is collected for future use. Collected rainwater may be stored, used in a variety of ways or used directly for recycling purposes. With declining groundwater levels and changing weather conditions, RWH can go a long way in helping to mitigate these effects. Catching rainwater can help recharge local aquifers, reduce urban flooding and most importantly ensure water availability in waterless areas. This way of saving water can be easily done in every home, house, park, office and temple all over the world. In rural areas, farmers reload their dry boreholes, build water reservoirs in arid areas, clean up their farms thereby increasing the sustainability of their water sources.
