AJ Sustainology Renewable (AJSR) has a full-time opening for a Staff Engineer/ Business Analyst in its Chandigarh office. AJSR is new environmental consulting startup focused on reducing carbon emissions of its clients. We are looking for passionate young students/professionals who can help us combat climate change and make positive impact on our society and environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Carry out experiments and research according to protocols and plans
• Collect and log experimental data
• Conduct statistical analyses of data sets
• Prepare graphs and spreadsheets to portray results
• Create presentation slides and posters to help researchers present findings
• Review print and online resources to gather information
• Check facts, proofread, and edit research documents to ensure accuracy
• deciding on the best data collection methods
• conducting field surveys and collecting data
• conducting lab tests on water, air and soil samples
• interpreting data to identify whether contamination exists in accordance with environmental laws
• building conceptual models that identify the potential contaminant sources that could have an adverse impact on the environment
• preparing detailed scientific reports or presentations based on their findings
• communicating the results of their studies to key stakeholders
• devising plans to minimize or fix environmental problems

Requirements and Qualifications
• Students or professionals with 0-2 years of experience preferred.
• Pursuing or having Bachelor’s or graduate degree from an accredited college environmental science field, or working towards one.
• General understanding of environmental sciences, ecology, monitoring and sampling techniques;
• Environmental field experience; experience with scientific method and lab a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite; ArcGIS experience a plus.
• Knowledge of data entry and analysis; statistics experience a plus.
• Ability to work cooperatively on a field team and independently on office/data tasks.
• Ability to work flexible hours and during field work with high safety awareness.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Commerce, or Engineering Required. Master’s Degree preferred.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel);
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform field work and a wide range of physical activities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Highly organized multitasker and detail oriented.
• Willingness to learn and to grow with the company.
• Never say ‘No’ attitude and willing to wear multiple hats.
